Television has been an important part of Martin Clunes’ career for more than forty years, giving him the chance to play many very different characters, from comedy to drama and crime.
Some became famous, like Gary in Men Behaving Badly and Dr Martin Ellingham in Doc Martin. Others showed a very different side of his acting, such as DCI Colin Sutton in Manhunt, the troubled farmer Nathan Williams in Out There, or the complicated family stories of A Mother’s Son.
Comedy has always remained part of the journey too, with series such as Reggie Perrin and Warren.
Famous or less known, each series adds a different character and another chapter to a remarkably varied television career.
